BELARUSIAN TELEGRAPH AGENCY (National Source of News) Announced on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 Kayson intends to launch construction of transport and logistics complex near Minsk

MINSK, 3 December (BelTA) – The construction of the Prilesie Transport and Logistics Complex in the Minsk region is expected to be launched in December, Chairman of the Board and President of the Kayson Company, Mr. Ansari, noted during his meeting at the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee on 3 December.

The company has already completed the development of the first design phase (master plan, utility connections, transport communications). The complex will be placed on the territory of the Minsk Free Economic Zone. Around Br330 billion is expected to be invested in the project. About 2,900 working places will be created. The Prilesie transport and logistics complex is expected to be launched in 2014.

The complex will  be located at the intersection of the two important European transport corridors – E30 (Berlin-Warsaw-Minsk-Moscow-Yekaterinburg) and N9 (Gomel-Minsk-Vilnius-Klaipeda-Kaliningrad). The  Prilesie  transport and logistics complex will include up-to-date storage capacities, a hotel, a restaurant, trade and exhibition centers, a fuel station, a car wash, store, service station and parking.

The warehouses are designed for storing various cargoes including dry, low temperature and dangerous cargoes. The goods will be supplied by motor roads and the railway which will connect the transport and logistics complex with one of Minsk’s biggest industrial hubs.
